Spring is here after a brutal Minnesota winter (fifth snowiest on record) and I’m thinking of flowers. This one is about 4 inches wide and cuts in less than a minute. It could add a nice decorative touch to a cabinet or bookcase indoors, or adorn a gate, fence, or deck outdoors.
This is a group of them which has been stretched, pulled, and rotated to “individualize” them. I personally like a more organic look like this, but I realize and respect that for a lot of people symmetry in design provides shelter from a chaotic world. The board is held in place on the machine by vacuum and the duct tape seals the edges. Usually I can pull a slightly warped board perfectly flat with the vacuum, which helps immensely when doing a low relief like this.
